Imagine describing a friend...
You would probably start by talking about their appearance, age, or where they come from.
But wouldn't you also emphasize their personality, their qualities, and what they inspire in you?
Likewise, I invite you to keep your mind and heart open to allow yourself to be touched by the personality of a drumhead, of an animal.
Give it, give them, the chance to reveal themselves to you!
The hides
All of superior quality, here are the different hides I work with, all of which are of superior quality. Each has its own properties, group spirit, strengths and limitations.

The importance of the frame is often underestimated. However, it plays a decisive role in the drum's weight, balance and strength. Although not immediately apparent, the quality of the wood is very much present in the final product! Treat yourself to this difference and experience the excellence of your future ally for yourself by honouring the expertise of talented local ebenists.
In Belgium
I mainly work with frames by Alexandre Rossignon, a passionate man who usually ensures traceability. This means that you will know the age of the tree and where it comes from. The wood species he supplies are:
Hornbeam, Apple, Pear, Beech, Ash, Elm, Oak, Cherry, Maple, Linden, Alder, and Walnut.
In Canada
I am delighted to be working with Guillaume Sylvain from Quebec, who supplies magnificent frames made from maple (regular, spotted or waved), ash, black walnut, cherry, cedar, pine, beech, hickory, elm and white and red oak.
I also purchase oval and ovoid white cedar frames from Grant inBritish Columbia.
I have frames in all sizes, from 12” (30 cm) to 30” (76 cm). Most are round, but some are oval or ovoid.
I will also continue to offer frames from Pakistan for a little while longer, and these are included in the basic price of the drums.

Drum Prices
The price list below includes a drum with a Pakistani frame and a mallet. The additional cost of a frame made by an ebenist in Belgium is between €65 and €120, or between $45 and $82 in Quebec.
The prices listed below apply to all skins except bison skins (+$35) and elk skins (+$30).
Taxes must be added to the price for sales made in Canada.
